President of Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) Visits ZDATA
Recently, Mr. Paul Wilson, President of the Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), visited ZDATA during his first official exchange trip to China since assuming office. Zhou Kang, Founder and Chairman of ZDATA; Dong Yan, Co-founder and Executive President of ZDATA; and Yang Li, Vice President of ZDATA, accompanied the delegation.
The Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC), one of the five global Regional Internet Registries (RIRs), has been responsible for the allocation of IP addresses and ASNs (Autonomous System Numbers) in the Asia-Pacific region since its establishment in 1993. It also manages a portion of root DNS server mirrors. Headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, APNIC provides robust support for the stable operation of the global Internet. Mr. Wilson’s visit coincides with a critical period in which APNIC is advancing the optimized allocation of IP address resources and promoting Internet development worldwide.
Mr. Wilson outlined APNIC’s key priorities in the Asia-Pacific region moving forward. He emphasized that APNIC will continue leveraging its platform to strengthen communication and collaboration among members, fostering the rational utilization and development of Internet resources. The two parties engaged in lively discussions on recent global trends in IP address development. ZDATA seized the opportunity to express its intention to deepen cooperation with APNIC, aiming to leverage APNIC’s unique strengths in global Internet resource allocation to further expand its international market presence and enhance competitiveness in the global data center industry. Both sides also explored collaborative consensus on IP address allocation, ASN management, and related areas.
As a more open, inclusive, and prosperous Asia-Pacific Internet ecosystem rapidly takes shape, injecting new vitality into the development of the global digital economy, ZDATA will play an increasingly active role.
