Breaking | ZDATA's "Titan Tower" Wins Prestigious "Cloud Computing Center Technology Award"
Recently, the 2024 Cloud Computing Center Technology Award results were announced. The "Titan Tower" data center project, jointly submitted by ZDATA Cloud Port Data Technology Co., Ltd. (a ZDATA subsidiary) and Beijing Volcano Engine Technology Co., Ltd., stood out for its groundbreaking achievements in extreme cooling efficiency and ultra-low-cost modeling. The project was honored with the 2024 Cloud Computing Center Technology Award - Excellence Award (Engineering Construction Category), marking a significant milestone in innovative data center solutions.
"Cloud Computing Center Technology Award" is organized by the China Electronics Energy Saving Technology Association (CEESTA) — a national, non-profit, and professional social organization registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The award selection aims to incentivize professionals in the green cloud computing center sector, recognizing technological innovations and products that have made significant contributions to economic and social development as well as national energy conservation and emission reduction efforts.
The award-winning project is located at the ZDATA Green Big Data Industry Base and primarily provides IDC services for large internet companies. The project has achieved intensive, green, and efficient data center construction, demonstrated through deep integration and optimized utilization of existing resources—including space, land, buildings, energy, and construction timelines—elevating comprehensive resource efficiency to new heights. It has successfully realized goals of land conservation, material savings, energy efficiency, time reduction, cost optimization, and streamlined operations.
Technical Highlights
Power zone isolation and centralized IT deployment perfectly align with data center architectural requirements, enabling phased construction and flexible service deployment. This approach reduces construction timelines by 30% while significantly lowering initial capital expenditure (CAPEX) in civil engineering. The design ensures enhanced risk resilience, high reliability, and stable operation under extreme weather conditions.
Operational Output
Featuring an innovative data center layout architecture, the project achieves an IT output per unit area exceeding 1.2kW/m², far surpassing the industry average of 0.8~1.0kW/m² for air-cooled server scenarios.
Economic and Social Benefits
The project delivers an annual average PUE below 1.20. Photovoltaic (PV) systems meet 100% of office electricity demand, while heat recovery systems fulfill 100% of heating needs in auxiliary areas, delivering energy efficiency; effectively reducing carbon emissions; and supporting China's Dual Carbon Strategy.
As a leading infrastructure service provider in China, ZDATA will continue to explore synchronized optimization methods for data centers that integrate high-performance technology, high computing power, high energy efficiency, and high security. We aim to comprehensively, deeply, and meticulously unlock carbon reduction potential across all operational stages and details of data centers, steadfastly advancing toward a green development path characterized by efficiency, low-carbon practices, intensification, and circularity.
